In 2012 my daughter studied Media and entertainment in Rotterdam.
Together with some fellow students she organized a kind of showcase and invited Miche Fambro for it. An American blues musician.
Yesterday I heard about his death and in tribute to him I again post my report on what I had made about that evening. It was a wonderful evening, with some good artists besides Miche. was very proud at the time of my daughter and her fellow students that they organized such an evening, not even mentioning the great location in Rotterdam. the Grounds.

In 2012 studeerde mijn dochter Media en entertainment in Rotterdam.
Samen met enkele mede studenten organiseerde ze een soort showcase en nodigde daar Miche Fambro voor uit. Een Amerikaanse blues muzikant.
Gisteren vernam ik van zijn overlijden en uit eerbetoon naar hem plaats ik opnieuw mijn verslag wat ik toen over die avond gemaakt had. Het was een gewedige mooie avond, met naast Miche nog enkele goede artiesten. was toen erg trots op mijn dochter en haar medestudenten dat hun zo'n avond kregen organiseert en dan heb ik het nog niet eens over de geweldige lokatie in Rotterdam. de Grounds.

Ik zal gelijk met de deur in huis vallen, wanneer ik de kans zie om naar een optreden te gaan en de muzikanten te kunnen ontmoeten staat daar altijd iets tegenover. ik weet niet of ze daar blij mee zijn, echter geef ik ze meestal een portret van hun gemaakt door mij..
Onderaan de tekening had ik geschreven, doe de groeten aan Wendy. Dat is zijn vrouw, via social media was ik al een beetje in contact met hem gekomen en zo ook met Wendy. .
Miche waardeerde mijn gift en voordat hij aan zijn optreden begon, liet hij het dan ook aan het publiek zien. Dat moment heb ik weten vast te houden door te filmen, met mijn bescheden cameraatje.

At the bottom of the drawing I wrote, say hi to Wendy. That's his wife, through social media I had already come into contact with him a bit and also with Wendy. .
Miche appreciated my gift and before he started his performance, he showed it to the audience,
I managed to hold on to that moment by filming with my humble camera.
Zo kan het gaan zo kom je aan een gezellig avondje uit..je dochter studeert media entertainment management, en als opdracht moesten zij en haar medestudenten een Amerikaanse artiest naar Nederland halen om voor hem hier wat optredens te boeken. Via Social media vond ik heel wat informatie over hem en dan opeens sta je oog in oog met een talentvol persoon.
We waren wat aan de late kant mijn dochter had voor ons vertrek nog contact gehad met het management van Miche. en glijdend over resten ijs, bevonden wij ons richting GROUNDS in Rotterdam. een goed cafe waar je dagelijks terecht kunt voor een kop koffie, een daghap, en akoestische optredens. Bij binnenkomst geheel rechts kon je gratis wijn proeven en daar beleefden we een gezellige sing & songwriters avond met o.a. Miche Fambro en nog meer geweldige artiesten, omdat we aan de late kant waren, hadden we net nog van de 2 of 3 laatste zomerse nummers van S-JAY kunnen genieten.
This is how it can go, this is how you arrive at a fun night out ... your daughter is studying media entertainment management, and as an assignment she and her fellow students had to bring an American artist to the Netherlands to book him some performances here. Through social media I found a lot of information about him and then suddenly you come face to face with a talented person.
We were a bit late, my daughter had contact with Miche's management before we left. and sliding over remains of ice, we found ourselves towards GROUNDS in Rotterdam. a good cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a dish of the day and acoustic performances.
Upon entering on the far right you could taste free wine and after that, we experienced a pleasant sing & songwriters evening with Miche Fambro and more great artists,
because we were a little l late, we still could enjoy the last 2 or 3 summer songs of S-JAY

HANSEN TOMAS
Wanneer je zo'n avond meemaakt, dan weet je , hoeveel talenten ons land heeft en die je nauwelijks of nooit op tv of op de radio hoort. dankzij deze avond hebben we weer heel wat aan de lijst kunnen toevoegen, die we in de toekomst vaker in de gaten gaan houden. Hansen Tomas is daar ene van, en bijzonder dat hij samen met Miche het podium beklom.
When you experience an evening like this one, you know how many talents our country has and which you hardly or never hear on TV or on the radio. thanks to this evening we have been able to add a lot to the list, which we will keep an eye on more often in the future. Hansen Tomas is one of them, and it is special that he climbed the stage with Miche.
De avond was meer dan bijzonder, dankzij de organisatie, de MEM studenten van INholland Rotterdam 2012, Grounds, alle artiesten, het publiek, Rotterdam.
