Afgelopen 2 maart was het 19 jaar geleden dat ik de band YES zag in Utrecht met Jon Anderson. Lange muziekstukken, die ik wel eens in de jaren 70 hoorde , echter toen nog niet begreep. Pas toen ik de band live zag ,hun muziek live hoorde ,ja toen begreep ik wat echte symphonische rock was.
We komen net thuis van een avondje in de schouwburg.Daar speelde de tribute band Symphonic Rock Night 2 uur lang muziek van o.a YES maar ook van Pink Floyd, Genesis, Supertramp, de Nederlandse Alquin , e.a .
Heel wat goede herinneringen uit de jaren 70 maar ook 80 herleefden.
Last 2 March, it was 19 years ago that I saw the band YES in Utrecht with Jon Anderson. long compositions that I sometimes heard in the 1970s but didn’t understand at that time. Till I saw the band live and heard their music live YES then I understood what real symphonic rock was.
We have just arrived home from an evening in the theater, where the tribute band Symphonic Rock Night played music for 2 hours from, YES but also from Pink Floyd, Genesis,Supertramp, the Dutch Alquin.🎸 and others.
Het waren geweldige muzikanten vooral de saxofoniste,dwarsfluitiste en wanneer je als muzikant “yours is no disgrace” van Yes kan spelen dan ben je goed heel erg goed.

soms zat degene achter me zo mee te leven dat ie met zijn lange benen tegen mijn stoel dreunde 😂😂😂 maar ach en de mevrouw naast me, volgens mij was haar parfuumfles ontploft maar okeh 🥴
Echter ☝️ zie je de kans om naar zo’n avond te gaan moet je zeker doen Symphonic Rock Night is een aanrader
They were great musicians, especially the girl with saxophone and flute.
And if you as musician can play “yours is no disgrace” of Yes, then you are very good.
Yes, sometimes the person behind me was so sympathetic that he pumping with his long legs against my chair 😂😂😂 but oh well and the lady next to me, I think her perfume bottle had exploded but okay However, if you see the chance to go to such an evening, you should definitely go. Symphonic Rock Night is highly recommended
