Still inspired by Celts and Vikings. I always loved Vikingships, drew and painted them often in the passed. With digitalart I wanted to portray Ragnar (vikings season 4) with long beard ,bald head, scars dirth and still this bright blue eyes. Ofcourse with in the background a mystic Vikingship and
Northern Lights
🇳🇱Ben nog steeds geïnspireerd door de Kelten en Vikingen. Ik heb altijd al van Vikingschepen gehouden en tekende en schilderde vaak deze schepen in de voorbije jaren. Met digitale kunst wilde ik Ragnar (Vikings seizoen 4) portretteren met een lange baard, kaal hoofd, littekens ,vuil en nog steeds die helderblauwe ogen.
Uiteraard ook met op de achtergrond een mysterieus Vikingschip en het Noorderlicht.
🇳🇱Onderzoek naar geschiedenis, bv over waar ik heen reis, verblijf , meestal wat in UK en Ierland heeft afgespeeld, zelfs mijn eigen thuishaven, waarover men eerst dacht dat rond 880 Vikingen waren gevestigd daar waar het verzonken kasteel is, wat achteraf toch bij Roermond bleek te zijn,
en nu de serie VIKINGS , is mijn passie.
Dan lees of zie ik iets en wil daar de bron van weten. Ik wilde dus ook weten wie was Ragnar, waar heeft ie geplunderd en waar wilde hij zich settelen , misschien vlakbij Durham in Northumbria. De Kathedraal van Durham is gebouwd in Normandische Architectuur.
Misschien Lake District, Wales of Schotland. In 2011 zijn wij naar Lake District geweest en bezochten Gosforth daar waar een vikingskruis staat en in de st Mary church 2 vikings grafstenen.

🇬🇧 Research into history, for example about where I travel, stay, usually what happened in UK and Ireland. Even my own hometown, about which it was first thought that around 880 Vikings were located where the sunken castle is, which turned out that this still was near Roermond , and now the series VIKINGS , is my passion.
Then I read or see something and I want to know the source of it. So I also wanted to know who was Ragnar, where did he loot and where did he want to settle, maybe near Durham in Northumbria. Durham Cathedral is built in Norman Architecture. Maybe Lake District, Wales or Scotland .
In 2011 we went to the Lake District and visited Gosforth where there is a Viking cross and in the st Mary church 2 Viking gravestones. You can find my report on this via this link.
