vandaag is de 75ste verjaardag van mijn favoriete acteur Martin Shaw.
Begin jaren 80 zat ik aan de tv gekluisterd wanneer hij als Doyle in the Professionals op de buis was. Pas in 2012 toen tijdens het WK voetballen ik op de andere zenders de Detectives keek waaronder George Gently, besefte ik niet meteen dat de lieve strenge George Gently degene was die toen Doyle was in the Professionals.
Ik ging de schade gelijk inhalen kocht zelfs dvd's van de serie Judge John Deed..vond de BBC who do you think you are, waarin hij opzoek ging naar zijn voorouders, en dit stimuleerde mij om ook mijn stamboom te gaan onderzoeken. wat dan ook een bijzonder avontuur werd.
Dan waren daar nog de portretten door de jaren heen die ik van hem gemaakt heb en het hoogtepunt vond ik mijn bezoek aan het stadje Durham met zijn prachtige Kathedraal. Gewoon vanuit Newcastle met de trein vanaf perron 3 , 15 minuten reizen en je ziet in de verte de Kathedraal. Daar waar George Gently graag vertoefde en daar waar veel opnames uit George Gently series zijn gemaakt.
Een hele fijne verjaardag Martin en mogen nog vele
vele verjaardagen volgen.

is the 75th birthday of my favorite actor Martin Shaw. In the early 1980s I was glued to the TV when he was on television as Doyle in the Professionals.
It wasn't until 2012 when I watched the detectives with George Gently , during the soccer World Cups On the other chanel, that I didn't realize that the kind gentle strict George Gently was the one who was Doyle in the Professionals in the start 80’s.
I immediately went to make up for the damage I had missed about this actor and his acting and even bought DVDs from the Judge John Deed series ... the BBC with:” who you think you are” ,where he went looking for his ancestors, and this encouraged me to also investigate my family tree. which became a special adventure For me to.
Than there were the portraits over the years that I have made of him and I made my visit to the town of Durham with its beautiful Cathedral. Just from Newcastle by train from platform 3, 15 minutes travel and you see the Cathedral in the distance. Where George Gently liked to be and where many tv shots from the George Gently series have been made.
A very happy birthday Martin and may follow many many more happy birthdays.🌹❤️🌹to you✌️🎁💘
